In what currency will Hotel-Hunters.com charge my credit card?

You are able to select your local currency to display the room prices in during your search. At the payment point, your local currency will however be converted to the British Pound Sterling GBP(£) for final settlement. Please allow for exchange rate fluctuations.

Can I cancel or amend my reservation?

Hotels can be cancelled or modified in accordance with each property's cancellation policy. Some properties impose penalties such as one night's stay if cancelled within a certain number of days before your scheduled check-in date. Other discounted rate properties like "Hotel Hunters Special Rate" charge a small fee irrespective of when the modification is requested.
In order to cancel or modify your booking please go to your Member Login Area and click on the Cancellation/Modification link against the booking you want to cancel. Review the cancellation penalty and click on submit. Some accommodation do not allow a modification once booked. In such cases you would be able to cancel the original booking. Once you recieve confirmation of the cancellation in writing from Hotel-Hunters.Com you can then proceed to make a new booking of your choice. Please note that cancellation penalties may apply.

Is the accommodation i'm booking confirmed?

Yes. Customers can book one of four types accommodation with hotel-hunters.com as detailed below:
(a) Pre-paid booking:- If your chosen accommodation required being pre-paid, then the full amount would be charged to your credit card. Pre-paid bookings are instantly confirmed
(b) Deposit Required:- If you book this type of accommodation, a percentage of the total cost of the booking will be charged to your credit card as a deposit at the point of making the booking. This is usually 10% of the total. Deposit required bookings like pre-paid bookings are instantly confirmed.
(c) On Request:- If the property of your choice shows "On Request" , it will not be instantly confirmed at the point of booking but we will confirm availability first before with the accommodation provider before we ask you for payment payment. This would usually take up to 24 hours. Once we have confirmed availability with the supplier we will collect payment from your credit card and confirm your from "On Request" to "Confirmed".
(d) No Payment Required:- Some accommodation providers do not require you to pre-pay or pay any deposit at the point of booking the accommodation through us. If the accommodation you have chosen to book does not require any form of payment before arrival, we will still require your credit/debit card details to guarantee the accommodation but your card will not be charged. This type of accommodations are only guaranteed but not confirmed.

How do I know if my booking is pre-paid, a 10% deposit required booking or a pay at check-out?

The type of accommodation you are booking would be displayed to you during the booking process. This would also be clearly stated on your confirmation voucher under the "Note to Hotel" and "Status" section.

When will I receive my booking confirmation voucher?

For Pre-paid and Deposit Required Bookings: You will get your booking confirmation voucher immediately sent to your email address after completing your booking.
For On Request and Pay at check-out Bookings: You will get your booking confirmation voucher once we have confirmed your accommodation with the provider sent to your email address. This usually takes between 24 to 48 hours.
*If you did not receive your confirmation email, we recommend that you check the Spam folder in your email to ensure that your confirmation email was not auto-filtered to your spam folder. Additionally, you may want to add Hotel-Hunters.Com to your “allowed” senders list so that we can send you confirmation emails and information regarding your future bookings. You can always print a copy of your book from your Member Login Area when you log in with your email and password

Do I need to reconfirm my booking before arrival?

No, this is not necessary unless specified by the property. Please check the policy on the individual property’s page or on the terns and conditions you have received. Please print out your booking confirmation voucher which you must present on arrival at the property.

Can I contact the property before I book online?

No, we cannot provide contact details before you book. Once you book we provide you with telephone , fax, email and web address of your property of choice. All the information you would normally need before making a booking should be provided by the property on their profile page on our website.
